Natalie Rostad-Desjarlais

I am Asini-eskwiw, Or Rock Woman, or just Nat. I have the privilege and honor to work directly with Mother Earth’s wisdom and character. Utilizing the stones of great wisdom, I help others to see deeper into the history, age and messages available to us with the application of pigments and oxides. It is by spiritually embracing the elements of earth gifts that we arrive to a place of beauty and peace. My workshops allow you to choose a rock, or bring your own and bring it to life in a carefully managed environment.

I am Metis-Cree artist working primarily with stone. I have just completed an honorary project called the Healing Circle in Winnipeg, Mb. I also have been blessed to have smaller works overseas and across North America. I will celebrate 30 years this June 21., since the first stone spoke to me and put me on this incredible journey if hope and spirit. It is my privilege and responsibility to share the messages that the earth shares both through my own work and in the sharing of the gift with others. My ancestors are from Ft. Q’uappelle, Saskatoon. And Standing Buffalo, Sask. My work both recognizes the struggles, and in revealing the strengths, celebrates our culture through the history and beauty.
