Cedar and Sage | Jane Lamure

My name is Jane Lamure I am an Algonquin, my band is Pikwakanagan and my community is wherever I go. I have always enjoyed creating, being close to the land and waters. I feel most grounded when I recenter myself. I have worked in the Indigenous community for the past fourteen years in mental health and social services. Very rewarding jobs and I have found creating is the best for me to de-stress and center myself.
I love the ability to create using different mediums and challenging my ideas to fruition. Our paths are always teaching us different things, ideas and ways to honor the fabric of who we are.

Workshops I have facilitated are bracelets with hide and sinew- using your own creativity and how creativity can be our stress reliever, cemetery flowers fundamentals in making your own pieces for loved ones and finding your own path for design for celebrations of life, self-care and wellness – how to recenter yourself.
